As a member of the Jacksonville (Florida) Bar Association, Jodi Miles organized and facilitated CLEs on the topics of juvenile delinquency, family law, and adoption. She also spoke to the local paralegal association and at Florida Coastal School of Law.

Now, as a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association (GCBA), Ms. Miles gave of her time for Law Day (2016). She spoke to four different elementary classes at a local school. The kids had such great questions! She also spoke at a local Montessori school in the fall of 2016. Ms. Miles speaks to 5th graders on Career Day at a local elementary school on an annual basis. She is also an active member of the Criminal Defense Section of the GCBA.

Since the spring of 2017, Ms. Miles has been giving CLEs on a regular basis for the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project of Atlanta Area Legal Aid. Local attorneys who accept pro bono cases from Legal Aid are entitled to attend these CLEs at no cost as a thank you for their service. Ms. Miles also regularly presents CLEs for practice area sections of the Gwinnett Bar, including the estate planning and criminal defense sections.

Ms. Miles founded a voluntary lawyer referral group in Gwinnett County entitled the Northeast Atlanta Lawyers Referral Forum. Membership is by invitation only and is limited to one attorney per practice area. It welcomes members from all over metro Atlanta. The group benefits legal consumers by connecting them with some of the most highly qualified attorneys in the area. The Forum welcome inquiries from attorneys and legal consumers alike and meets monthly in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

In 2018, Ms. Miles saw the need to create a Solo/Small Firm Section for the Gwinnett County Bar Association. Bylaws required a minimum number of signatures and board approval. The section held its first luncheon in May 2019! It will continue to meet bimonthly in downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Jodi Miles is an active member of her church and has also organized (private) backpack and school supply drives for children in Sierra Leone, Africa. She supports the North Gwinnett Co-op by her financial and in-kind donations. The co-op is staffed entirely by volunteers and offers food, financial, and clothing assistance to needy families in the immediate area.

She participated in supply drives for Florida families affected by Hurricane Michael and donated to families in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian.
